About this course
Army Environmental Park and Training Area (ASC Golf Course) was built in1964. Previously it was known as the ASC Regimental Golf Course. It was a nine hole brown course till 1983. The Golf Hut Office building was inaugurated in 1974.
In 1988-89 two greens were created towards Ejipura. In 1995 this course had 12 greens (Six repeated to make 18 holes). So, for over a period of 30 years the course grew from a nine hole brown course to a twelve hole green course. This was laid out, converted, and managed by ASC Centre (South). In Nov 1995, Lt Gen VP Malik, GOC-in-C Southern Command directed that there be only one Golf Course in the station. Accordingly the GOC ATNKK & G Area directed that the AEPTA (ASC Golf Course) be converted to a full fledged 18 hole course. Thereafter additional six holes were laid and the course made a 18 hole course.
